The place to be

Berri Backpackers was established by the previous owners W Hernes and FM Hendrick in1991. The Hostel then was passed on to the long term management and new owners Till amd Miyeon in 2013. Berri Backpackers was the first South Australian hostel to promote agritourism and is a vital link between the local fruit industry and the working holiday making backpacker. During the past twentytwo years five other hostels have established themselves in this region as have many others throughout the state.

Berri Backpackers started with twenty four beds, today we have expanded and tripled our capacity. We provide all facilities thinkable plus some more, and the general feedback is that we are probably one of the best working hostel in Australia.

To stand out and keep ahead we do International BBQ's as well as dress up parties on an occasional basis and at times yoga classes and Didgeridoo workshops.

Our success is dependent on one thing, passion, passion and passion.
Berri Backpackers is a big hostel with lots of facilities and a really good atmosphere. There are extensive gardens areas with lots of sculptures plus hammocks, a massage table, meditation room and yoga room an outdoor kitchen and a couple of tree houses. There is also a beach volleyball court, tennis court, swimming pool and sauna. There’s a cosy games room with table tennis and a pool table. Must see for yourself
